Dark Souls Archthrones All Five Ritual Bell Locations in Carthus of the Sands

As you venture through the Archthrone of the High Lord in Dark Souls Archthrones, you'll eventually become aware of the elaborate steps required to confront the area's toughest boss, Necromancer Obediah. Specifically, to gain access to the necromancer's intense boss fight in the High Lord's Temple, players must ring five Ritual Bells scattered throughout Carthus of the Sand.

If you're struggling to locate all the bells or wish to be thoroughly prepared before embarking on this journey, fear not. Below, we'll outline the precise locations of all five Ritual Bells in Carthus of the Sand, ensuring you're ready to face Necromancer Obediah in no time.

All Five Ritual Bell Locations in Carthus of the Sands

As we've previously stated, there are five Ritual bells located around the Carthus of the Sands area in the Archtrone of the High Lord, and finding all of them can be challenging as they require some combat as well as platforms to get to. So let's break down each Ritual Bell location below as well as any details you'll need to know to access them which will allow you to take on Necromancer Obediah.

Ritual Bell Location #1:

The first bell can be found on the far northwest side of the map (if we take the spawn location of the map being the southern side of the map). You can find it by sticking to the left side of the area as you move north from the spawn point, but be aware that it's guarded by a large greatsword-wielding bandit/warrior.

Ritual Bell Location #2:

The second bell can be found inside a similar chamber to the first, but now it's on the eastern side of the map from the spawn area, and as a good landmark, you'll see the bell in the center of the large building with blue domes as roofs above them, and below you'll see the bell guarded by a large bandit warrior as well as two smaller bandits.

Ritual Bell Location #3:

The third bell can be found near the torn-down buildings with blue roofs that are just next to the oasis on the southeastern side of the map, which you can reach by just heading right as you emerge from the chamber you spawn in on the map. The bell will also be guarded by a large bandit warrior, so dispatch him and you'll be able to ring the bell.

Ritual Bell Location #4:

The fourth bell can be located inside the Temple of the High Lord which is on the far northeast side of the map, but to reach it, you'll need to navigate through the temple itself. So head inside to the main chamber, then take the path to the right and make your way down until you reach an elevator that will take you up to the tower and the fourth bell.

Ritual Bell Location #5:

The fifth bell can also be located inside the Temple of the High Lord. So head inside to the main chamber, then take the path to the left and make your way through the linear chamber, but be aware of the booby traps like the large falling axe, as well as the swinging axe bridge (similar to Sen's Fortress in DS1), but as soon as you cross it, you'll come outside to the location of the bell.
