Cyberpunk 2077 is a game of two halves. There's the half of the fanbase that absolutely adores the game and the half of the fanbase that was burnt by the extremely poor launch and the fact the game wasn't anything like the trailers promised. With the fairly recent announcement of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, an expansion to the base game, fans are hoping that this fixes some of the base games' many problems. If a new leak is to be believed, then they won't have to wait too long to see more.
According to a leaker, the new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will be shown off later today at The Game Awards 2022.
This makes a lot of sense, given that CD Projekt Red has stated marketing for the expansion will start in Q4 2022. It of course does remain to be seen whether this leaker is telling the truth or if it's just somebody else clout-chasing, but all the signs appear to line up. It was also announced extremely recently that Cyberpunk 2077 would be getting a Game Of The Year edition, so this could also represent the start of the marketing push for that version of the game, arguably the finished version of the game.
The Game Awards broadcasts at the following times:
- 7:30 PM EST
- 4:30 PM PST
