Why Is Ken Block In Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0?
Ken Block was an American professional rally driver famed for gymkhana (choreographed drift) videos. He was also a co-founder of the shoe brand D.C. Shoes. Block is honored in Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 following his untimely death in a snowmobile accident in early January 2023. He died aged 55.
CD Projekt Red introduced the Type-66 Hoon, inspired by Block's "Hoonicorn," a modified Mustang RTR, as a tribute to the legendary rally driver. The vehicle was introduced in the 2.0 update as a free weaponized car in Cyberpunk 2077, featuring many design elements reminiscent of Ken Block's iconic vehicle.
This includes the same black and green color, a "43" sticker (the number Block used on all his cars during racing events), and a "K.B. 67-23" tagline denoting his birth and death years.
Where Is Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" Location In Cyberpunk 2077?
You can find the Ken Block car (the Type-66 Hoon) in Cyberpunk 2077 in a warehouse in the northern part of Watson while doing the "I'm In Love With My Car" side quest. The exact location of the Ken Block Easter Egg is shown in the image above (thanks, u/ForceWhisperer).
Note that players on Reddit report that the Type-66 Hoon in Cyberpunk 2077 can always be located in the warehouse following the release of the 2.0 update. However, it might only spawn after specific quests, namely: "Meeting Takamura at Tom's Diner" and "Rescue Evelyn" quests (thanks, u/Famlightyear).
Still, you'll need to find the car's keys if you want to own it since the doors are locked. But don't worry -- we've got you covered there. You can find the keys hidden in a box underneath a pile of rubble next to the Quadra Type-66 Hoon. You'll also find an HJKE-11 Yukimuro Pistol and Health Boosters in this box.
And that's everything to know about how to find the Ken Block easter egg in Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0. The Quadra Type-66 "Hoon" vehicle is definitely one of the cooler additions to the game.
