Get The Stygian Vanguard Armor in Conan Exiles Age Of War Chapter 2

The Age of War continues to run rampage throughout the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, bringing forth endless Purges worldwide. The Chapter 2 update adds plenty of quality-of-life (QoL) improvements and a bevy of new content, including new activities, weapons, and armor.

The latter is true, as plenty of new armor sets have arrived, but while a few are locked behind a Battle Pass, one is available for free. We’ve dusted the Armorer’s bench to help players learn how to get the Stygian Vanguard armor set for free in Conan Exiles.

Where To Get The Stygian Vanguard Armor In Conan Exiles?

The Stygian Vanguard armor set is one of the new pieces players can obtain in the latest Conan Exiles’ Age of War update. While the Raiment of Relic Hunting, Intricate Spite, and Embalming Wraps armor sets are included in the Age of War Chapter 2 update, these sets are part of the paid path for the chapter’s Battle Pass.

The Battle Pass costs 1,200 Crom Coins / $9,99, as players can obtain the new armor sets, whereas the Stygian Vanguard armor, an Epic Light Armor set once crafted, can be obtained for free in-game. Players can get the blueprints for each armor set from the revamped Purge system, in which they need to have the required materials to craft each piece using the Improved Armorer’s Bench.

The Stygian Vanguard armor set comprises five unique pieces that complete the set and is the following: the Stygian Vanguard Headdress, Vestments (Chest piece), Bracers, Leggings, and Sandals. Each piece may grant a unique buff, for which the Headdress, Vestments, and Bracers grant players an Agility Light Damage bonus of 3% each, and the Leggings and Sandals give them a Strength Weapon Damage bonus of 3% each.

Once players have the blueprint, they can take them to a T4 Armorer Thrall or craft it on the Improved Armorer’s Bench. It’s unclear if each piece requires these materials to craft each piece or if it’s to craft all five pieces, but we do know that the following materials are needed for crafting the set:

• Thick Hide x30
• Layered Silk x12
• Perfected Light Padding x1

This armor set can be repaired at the Improved Armorer’s Bench or with a T4 Armorer Thrall should a piece slowly lose its integrity. As such, players will need 15 Thick Hide and six Layered Silk to repair each armor piece and restore its armor durability.

The Age of War Chapter 2 update is available now as of 21st September 2023 across all available platforms. Conan Exiles is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
