Once drained, it can be stored within a Glass Flask for future use; however, in Conan Exiles, it serves a greater purpose when tweaking your Attributes. So naturally, many players want to know the best way to farm Soul Essence in Conan Exiles.

Fortunately, we have the answer. As it turns out, it requires having the right Inventory items and workbenches but also locating specific NPCs. This guide details everything about how to farm Soul Essence in Conan Exiles, including the best ways to use it.

Best Ways To Farm Soul Essence In Conan Exiles

The first thing you need to know before you can farm Soul Essence in Conan Exiles is to locate hapless NPCs around The Exiled Lands or the Isle of Siptah -- you will need a few Bindings and the Truncheon to knock out the NPCs. To do this, head to campsites with lower-leveled NPCs like the Dogs of the Desert camps and use the Truncheon to stun them and bind them before dragging them back to your base.

The next step is to strap the NPC onto the Sacrificial Stone. Then, go to the Casting Table to get Glass Flasks. Interact with the Sacrificial Stone and choose Soul Essence from the crafting options. Finally, add Glass Flasks to the crafting queue to extract the Soul Essence from the NPC. This will trigger an animation of the character extracting the soul.

As previously detailed in various builds requiring Corrupted Attributes, you’ll need 5x Soul Essences to corrupt one Attribute perk. However, to corrupt an Attribute skill entirely, you’ll need 20x Soul Essences and sacrifice 4x NPCs to gain them. As there are six Attribute skills, you’ll need 120x Soul Essences from 24 sacrifices to corrupt every Attribute skill.

You can have a Fighter Thrall knock out NPCs before dragging them back to the base to bind them to a Sacrificial Stone, as previously explained in our guide to getting Sacrificial Blood. But for this to be more efficient, you’ll need multiple Sacrificial Stones and sacrifice as many NPCs as possible to get Soul Essence faster.

Conan Exiles Soul Essence: Crafting Requirements

Before attempting to reap the souls of NPCs, you will need a few things beforehand to make farming the Soul Essence more efficient in Conan Exiles. Firstly, a few Crafting Stations, such as the Furnace, Casting Table, Torturer’s Workbench, and Sacrificial Stone, will need to be unlocked and crafted.

While you will have the blueprints when unlocking various Knowledge skills, they will become craftable when hitting certain levels, at which point you can place them in a designated location. With these Crafting Stations in place, you will also need to craft a few Glass Flasks, for which you’ll need a Glass Flask Mold and Crystals.

The latter is used to craft the Glass Flasks, and you can farm Crystals inside the cave at Scuttler’s Shortcut (F7), Warren of the Degenerates (F6), Hanuman’s Grotto (H3), and the Passage (K9) using a Pickaxe. Once mined, head back to your base and place the Crystals inside the Furnace to craft Glass before placing them on the Casting Table with the mold to craft the Glass Flask.
