Conan Exiles’ Age of War shifts its focus from sorcery to pure combat and war, as players will risk everything to be significantly rewarded in coins, gems, and prized trinkets. As developer Funcom will add new balance changes for combat and weapons, new combat activities will be added to the game to enhance PvP and PvE experiences for all.

With the developer providing critical information on what’s included in the Chapter 1 update, Clan Hoards is the main activity for Clans to meet up and embark on a treasure-hunting quest. This guide details everything about Clan Hoards, including key details and how to play in Conan Exiles.

What Are Clan Hoards In Conan Exiles Age Of War?

Clan Hoards are a new Clan activity coming to Conan Exiles in the upcoming Age of War Chapter 1 update on 22nd June 2023. While this feature isn’t available for playtesting during the current Public Beta available for PC via Steam, Funcom briefly explained this new feature in the recent Developer Livestream.

Clan Hoards will be centered around locating and collecting treasure, which can be found throughout the world. As its name suggests, this activity would be best enjoyed as a cooperative activity, especially with Clans, as members can protect other members from getting attacked by enemy NPCs and monsters guarding the treasure or preventing rival Clans from claiming them.

Once the Clan has successfully brought the treasure back to their base, it can be recorded and stored away using a Treasure Coffer. This item works similarly to a treasure chest; however, you must have a Treasure Room built and hidden away on your base, which will be included in a new building set with this update.

Clan members can access the Treasure Coffer to view what has been stored and its quantities, which a Treasurer NPC will record for the Clan. You can also interact with this NPC to check the current Clan Coffer values and how much it’s contributing to the Clan and your personal Coffer values.

How Do Clan Hoards Work In Conan Exiles Age Of War?

Likewise, there is a particular type of treasure to be found somewhere on the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah called Heroic Treasures. These high-rarity items will also need to be brought back to base; however, it would contribute to Clan Coffer values, but your personal numbers.

This activity of building and collecting treasures before stockpiling them within its dedicated room promises to make PvE encounters more engaging and extremely rewarding for all Clan members, especially with the incentive of accruing treasures for yourself and the Clan. Clan Hoards will set the foundations for incoming content throughout the Age of War, as Funcom has confirmed that Purges and PvE Sieges are to be included in this update.

With the Public Beta currently underway, we can expect to learn more about Clan Hoards and the treasures you can find in the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. Additionally, with new balance changes to combat and weapons included in the Age of War Chapter 1 update, Clan Hoards will be the best activity to understand how these changes can be advantageous when the Purges revamp and PvE Sieges become available.
