Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence has arrived, and it comes with some significant weapon balance changes, as well as with a brand new gun - the Rampage.
While many will be enjoying the content to explore, including a new legend, Seer, drastic World's Edge map changes, and Ranked Arenas, some competitive players simply want to figure out the meta as soon as possible, and that's especially important for those who want to climb ranks fast.
The Season 10 update has brought important changes not only to balance but also to how some attachments operate.
For example, the increased reload speed is now moved from Magazines to Stock attachments, and Marksman weapons will now take Sniper Stocks instead of Tactical Stocks.
Furthermore, all LMGs are heavily nerfed as their headshot multiplier is reduced from 2.0 to 1.75.
Finally, the 30-30 Repeater, EVA-8, Alternator, M600 Spitfire, Prowler Burst Pdw, and L-Star have all received various buffs and nerfs.
We have tested the new gun, as well as all the changed weapons and attachments, more than enough to see what changes we will make with our tier list compared to Season 9.
Keep in mind that this list is only for the battle royal mode, and we will soon have a separate list for weapons in the Arenas mode, but for now, check out our Arenas Legends tier list.
Apex Legends Season 10 weapons tier list
There are now 26 unique weapons in Apex Legends and, as of Season 10, six weapon categories with the newest being Marksmen rifles which includes the G7 Scout, 30-30, the Triple Take, and the game's newest weapon, the Rampage.
For our tier list, we have opted for a standard five-tier system, S to D.
- S-Tier: The absolute best of the best, regardless of attachments. If you see these, pick them up.
- A-Tier: With decent attachments, can lead you to victory.
- B-Tier: You need some purple attachments. Slower time-to-kill (TTK) can hurt you during engages.
- C-Tier: Requires you to stock up with great attachments, if you can't get your hands on a better gun, it's not the end of the world.
- D-Tier: Leave it on the ground on which you found
S-Tier
- Bocek Bow - Marksman Rifle
- M600 Spitfire - Heavy Machine Gun
- Kraber .50 CAL - Sniper Rifle
- Devotion - Energy LMG
- R-99 - Light SMG
- 30-30 Repeater - Heavy Assault Rifle
No changes in our S-Tier. In fact, several of the already well-performing guns have received strong buffs in Season 10, including the M600 Spitfire, which is now a Supply Drop weapon for this season.
The 30-30 Repeater can now reload faster with the stock attachments, a change that solidifies it as an S-Tier gun.
A-Tier
- Wingman - Heavy Pistol
- Volt - SMG
- Mastiff - Shotgun
- Triple Take - Sniper Rifle
- L-Star - Energy LMG
- G7 Scout - Light Assault Rifle
- Rampage - LMG
The L-Star has seen some significant changes with the Season 10 update, which makes the weapon drastically improved in our opinion, especially in the later phases of the game.
The Rampage is showing some great potential, but we don't think that this weapon is strong enough - when first picked up - to make it any higher than A-Tier.
B-Tier
- VK-47 Flatline - Heavy Assault Rifle
- Longbow DMR - Sniper Rifle
- R-301 Carbine - Light Assault Rifle
- Prowler Burst PDW - SMG
- Hemlok - Heavy Assault Rifle
- Alternator - Light SMG
The Alternator is now a part of the Supply Drop, equipped with the Disruptor Rounds, which increase shield damage by 40%, something Dr Disrespect might be particularly happy about.
The Prowler returns to the floor, but with a slightly increased Time Between Burst, and thus falling a tier down on our list.
C-Tier
- Eva-8 Auto - Shotgun
- HAVOC - Energy Rifle
- RE-45 - Light Pistol
- Peacekeeper - Shotgun
The Eva-8 Auto has been one of the strongest picks in the Shotgun category due to its speed compared to other shotguns, and with significantly reduced bolt fire-rate scaling it now looks like not so good choice anymore.
D-Tier
- P2020 - Light Pistol
- Charge Rifle - Sniper Rifle
- Mozambique - Shotgun
Very poor, almost bottom of the barrel weapons. Simply put, their TTK is awful, the Charge Rifle has a startup time that can make you miss easy shots, and the P2020 isn't even worth it as a last resort. Although Mozambique and P2020 both received buffs with the latest update, we think that's still not enough to move them from the bottom tier.
