7 Days to Die has sold well over 15 million copies since releasing into early access in 2013, but as it stands the only way to properly play the game is on PC.
Previously the game was available on the PS4 and Xbox One, through Telltale Publishing, but that clearly didn't end well. As far as we can tell the last meaningful update to the console versions came in 2017 on the Alpha 15 PC version of the game. To put that into context, we're currently on Alpha 21 and awaiting the release of Alpha 22.
But there is good news, as 7 Days To Die is Coming To PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with developers The Fun Pimps aiming for a 2023 release.
In fact, it sounds as though development is coming along nicely, with the devs telling fans on X (formally Twitter) that they'll have a demo of the latest console version available to play at TwitchCon Las Vegas; which takes place from Friday, Oct 20 until Sunday Oct 22.
If you happen to be attending and feel like swinging by the booth, we'd love to hear from readers to find out how the next-gen console version of the game is coming along.
