The open world of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is massive, filled with hidden caves, optional boss encounters, and floating islands above the sky. Thankfully, there are a plethora of sandbox tools at your disposal that can make your journey across Hyrule adventurous and fun.
One such traversal tool is the wing glider which you can use to glide smoothly over the landscapes of Hyrule and reach distant locations that the paraglider might not be able to reach. However, you may have some difficulty getting used to this magnificent tool in the beginning. As such, here's our guide, which explains how to use the wing glider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Launch the Wing Glider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
You may first encounter the wing glider in Tears of the Kingdom on top of the snowy mountain in the Great Sky Island next to the Gutanbac Shrine. There are several wing gliders here, and you can gain three Wing Zonai Devices from the chest on the right side of the cliff.
Now, to use the wing glider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in the best possible ways, attach two fans on each side of its wing. Next, use your Ultra Hand ability to launch it over the edge of the cliff and place it adjacent to the cliff's surface in a way so that you can easily jump off it and hover down. If you're confused, have a look at the screenshot below.
Jumping on the wing glider after you let go of the Ultra Hand ability is a bit challenging, and you could fall down a few times. As such, there's an alternative, more clever way to hop on the wing glider without putting Link's life on the line.
For this, use the Ultra Hand ability to launch the glider above the cliff and then bring it back to the surface. Now, climb on it and use the Recall ability to bring it back to the position it was earlier and smoothly hover over the kingdom of Hyrule.
The wing glider adheres to the notions of Physics, pretty much like everything in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Stand on the center to balance the weight and prevent yourself from falling down. To take it left, walk to the left side of the glider, whereas to take it right, walk to the right side of the glider. Don't walk to the ends of any side, or you will flip off the glider and fall down to the earth.
These are just a few ways to use the wing glider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
