The Love is in the Air 2023 event has begun in World of Warcraft (WoW), bringing a host of love-themed rewards for players to acquire. Arguably the best reward from the event is the X-45 Heartbreaker mount, dubbed the "Big Love Rocket" by the WoW community.
The X-45 Heartbreaker mount is something most citizens of Azeroth want to get their hands on, but how exactly do you get the Big Love Rocket to ride on...? This guide explains exactly how you can get the X-45 Heartbreaker in WoW Dragonlight and Classic, so you can show it off to your friends.
Update on 27 February 2023: You will have to wait until next year February to get the X-45 Heartbreaker mount...
WoW X-45 Heartbreaker (Big Love Rocket): How To Get
You can only get the X-45 Heartbreaker mount from now until 20 February 2023 at 10:00 a.m. PST. If you don't get one in time, you will need to wait until February 2024 to get the Big Love Rocket in WoW. Clearly, there's a lot at stake here.
Previously, it was very difficult to get the X-45 Heartbreaker mount due to the low drop rate in years past. For 2023's Love is in the Air event, the drop rate of the Big Love Rocket has increased significantly. In a blue post, Blizzard explains:
We’ve heard your feedback on the frustrations with X-45 Heartbreaker’s low drop rate and feeling the pressure of having to farm the mount by cycling through as many alts as possible every day. From now on, the first Heart-Shaped Box you receive each day across your Battle.net account will have a greatly increased chance to contain the X-45 Heartbreaker mount.
It is important to note that any subsequent Heart-Shaped Boxes you earn on your characters after the first each day drops the mount at the previous, original rate. This essentially means that you should just try to open one Heart-Shaped Box per day, and you should get the X-45 Heartbreaker in due time, even if you are unlucky.
So how do you get the Heart-Shaped Box which contains the X-45 Heartbreaker mount in WoW Dragonflight? Well, you simply need to defeat the Love is in the Air boss, Apothecary Hummel. This boss is located in Shadowfang Keep.
You need to be level 16 or higher. From here, you can queue via LFG for the event's quest to kill the Love is in the Air boss or by speaking to the NPC Steamwheedle Shyster, located in Stormwind City or Orgrimmar, depending on your faction.
