Tower of Fantasy is an upcoming free-to-play open-world action RPG from Perfect World, Hotta Studio, and Level Infinite that's very reminiscent of HoYoverse's Genshin Impact in terms of art style, combat, and characters.

Thanks to its anime aesthetics, hack and slash combat, and diverse set of playable characters, Tower of Fantasy has garnered enormous hype since its reveal. To commemorate its western release, we dive into the nitty-gritty of this upcoming shared-world RPG, including information on its release date, story, gameplay, and platforms.

Tower of Fantasy will release in the third quarter of 2022. The third quarter of every fiscal year starts on 1st July and ends on 30th September, so fans could expect the game to release somewhere in this period.

Tower of Fantasy takes place on the lush and vibrant alien planet of Aida, where civilization shifts after earth gets deprived of natural resources.

Aida is home to a rich and powerful resource called Omnium, and to mine it, humans establish these daunting Towers (Tower of Fantasy) to aid them in their pursuit.

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse as a catastrophic outbreak breaks the natural order and yields ferocious monsters and various criminal organizations eager to harvest Omnium. 

You play as a male or female Wanderer, tasked with helping siblings Zeke and Shirli of Star Island Sanctuary, all while exploring, discovering, and learning about planet Aida.

Tower of Fantasy is a fast-paced action RPG with a mixture of melee and ranged combat. Every playable character possesses unique weapons and abilities, which you can mix and match on the battlefield.

Tower of Fantasy is a gacha game, so expect to manage various in-game resources and cough up real-life money to get new weapons and characters.

Tower of Fantasy will be released on iOS, Android, and PC. On PC, it will be available on Steam and Epic Games store. As of this writing, there's no word on a PS5, Xbox Series X/S and a Nintendo Switch version, though we will make sure to update this article when relevant info is made available.
