A recent leak has suggested that Resident Evil 8 will be revealed in the next few months. Now, more information has come to light thanks to another leak. Capcom's next Resident Evil game will be entitled Resident Evil Village, and it is in line with the earlier leaks.
Known insider Nibellion tweeted out an article about the leak from Biohazard Declassified, giving more bite to the rumour. Note that the image in the tweet is Biohazard Declassified's idea of what the title could look like, with clever use of Roman numerals for the "8".

Biohazard Declassified reportedly received an email from an anonymous source with the subject line "It's me again", hinting towards previously leaked info provided.
In the email, the source revealed quite a bit of new information, including a tighter release window for Resident Evil 8 as Q1 2021.
The report further claims that Chris Redfield will play a central role, alongside Ethan Winters. Chris has been redesigned, and the character appears in flashbacks surrounding Ethan, Mia, and their baby.
The story of Resident Evil Village is reportedly set in Europe, with weird elements such as hallucinations at play. This is in line with the previous leak we reported on.
One very interesting new bit of information from the rumour suggests that there will be a new enemy type called the Witch. It will be similar to Marguerite from Resident Evil 7, using insects.
When the player takes her down, she dissipates into insects. This Witch is known to "haunt" the player, and she has a distinctive "laugh".
Lastly, the rumour suggests Capcom is testing both an RE4 and RE7 style User Interface.
As always, remember to take rumours such as this with a grain of salt until Capcom officially reveals Resident Evil 8, aka Village.
