Stave off the nightmarish threats now available on the go with new hardware and game optimizations, and plenty of grueling content to explore as Passtech Games' roguelike action game Ravenswatch is now available for the Nintendo Switch. Players can anticipate the same intense gameplay experience as the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox versions, with all the content and features for a portable platform, including the game's online cooperative (co-op) mode, which supports up to four players.
However, the free update, Nightmares Unleashed, was to be released alongside the game's Switch version, but the developer Passtech Games had to delay it, citing the "console submission process" that held back its release. The developer will announce its release once this issue has been resolved, and we'll update this page once these details have been confirmed.
First released in 2023 for PC via Steam through Early Access before the nightmares continued on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in 2024, Passtech Games' roguelike action game Ravenswatch has finally made its way to Nintendo Switch along with unique optimizations to support the game. The Switch version includes all released content and updates previously released for the abovementioned platforms; however, the Nightmares Unleashed update was intended to launch alongside the Switch console release.
The developer has provided a statement regarding the free update's delay in a post on their Twitter account and Steam News Page; they've issued their apologies for the minor delay as they promised to notify players "as soon as possible with a new release date for the Nightmares Unleashed update." Nevertheless, the developer will host a livestream on their Twitch channel on 23rd January 2025 at 8 am PT / 11 am ET / 4 pm UTC / 5 pm CET to give players a first look at the update's new content, features, and more.
As we await the new release date for the Nightmares Unleashed update, plenty more content, features, and more are coming soon to Ravenswatch in 2025. This was outlined in a post-launch roadmap in which every major content update will be free to all players at release, and new heroes will launch as paid content with free minor updates as the developer assured players they'll confirm their release dates close to their launch.
