Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - What cheats do Gold Bolts unlock?

Throughout most players’ time in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, at least one Gold Bolt collectable will be picked up. These collectables are easy to miss, usually lying somewhere off the beaten path but are noticeable once players get close to them. 

For anyone who doesn’t know what they are, the bolts seem like useless collectables that only add another trophy to the achievement list. However, those players would be missing out on a ton of different rewards for not attempting to collect each and every last Gold Bolt. 

The developers at Insomniac Games decided to implements cheats through the Gold Bolts. This means that as players collect more and more, additional cheats are unlocked. The big question is, what are these cheats and where can players find Gold Bolts? 

Finding and using Gold Bolts in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

In total, there are 25 Gold Bolts in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. They’re spread out among nine planets and usually require some extra traversal to get to. They’re not often something you can find just following the main quest path.

Below, you can see which Gold Bolts are on what planets and how many there are per planet. 

• Corson V Gold Bolts: 3
• Sargasso Gold Bolts: 3
• Scarstu Debris Field Gold Bolts: 3
• Savali Gold Bolts: 3
• Blizar Prime Gold Bolts: 3
• Torren IV Gold Bolts: 2
• Cordelion Gold Bolts: 3
• Ardolis Gold Bolts: 2
• Viceron Gold Bolts: 3

A majority of the planets contain three bolts with a couple only holding two. Each Gold Bolt that you collect will unlock a reward in the game. However, there are no specific rewards for specific Gold Bolts. This means that if you find the last Gold Bolt in Rift Apart, it will still unlock the first reward. 

The rewards contain cosmetic items, music packs, and even weapons. The most interesting reward is undoubtedly the cheats, though. Unfortunately for players, the cheats are some of the last unlocks, meaning you need to find almost every Gold Bolt to get access to the cheats.

Infinite health and ammo are certainly the highlights but players will need to take some time in order to unlock the cheats.
