PlayStation Plus April 2022 free games lineup

The April lineup for PlayStation Plus games is here, and Sony has delivered three free games to add to your collection as a Playstation Plus subscription member while we wait for Sony's "all-new PlayStation Plus" that will launch in June.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5 & PS4), SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated (PS4), and Slay the Spire (PS4) are the three games in question, and they will be released on Tuesday the 5th of April.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends (PS5 & PS4)

Hood: Outlaws and Legends is an online multiplayer game centred around playing with friends as a band of thieves that go on Robin Hood-esque missions to steal from the rich and give to the poor.

The gameplay is a third-person action fighter similar to For Honor, and features four different classes; Robin the Ranger, Marianne the Hunter, John the Brawler, and Tooke the Mystic. These classes represent a ranged attacker, a stealth warrior, a tank, and a supporting character respectively.

The game requires tactful planning with your companions and depending on your planning and organizational skills can go from a silent stealth mission to a brute force assault on your enemies. Definitely a title worth checking out if you haven't already.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated (PS4)

A remake of the 2003 3D platformer of the same name, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a remaster of the original and offers a fun and enjoyable experience for those looking to kick back and enjoy some downtime.

The game offers a relaxed and graphically improved environment with unique challenges and missions for the player to complete as Spongebob, Sandy, and Patrick in their mission to defend Bikini Bottom and stop Plankton's evil plans.

Slay the Spire (PS4)

Slay the Spire is a roguelike deck-building game that was released back in 2019. The game is widely considered to have kick-started the roguelike deck-building genre and we can see why.

The game-play features working your way up a spire of multiple floors and defeating the enemies and bosses that reside there through a card-game-based system.

Players gain new cards as they make their way up the spire as rewards for beating the challenges and other means, so knowing how to build a versatile and powerful deck is vital as you progress the game.
