Orcs Must Die! 3: Release date, gameplay, platforms, system requirements and more

Orcs Must Die! 3 Is finally releasing on mainstream platforms in a few days and players are anxiously awaiting its arrival. 

The title was released as a time-exclusive on Google Stadia last summer but a majority of fans have been waiting for its launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. There are a plethora of details on the title prior to its launch on 23rd July, so fans can keep reading for all of that information on Orcs Must Die! 3.

The official release date for Orcs Must Die! 3 Is 23rd July. This is one year after it was released as an exclusive on Stadia, which didn’t receive a ton of traction. However, this time around it’s coming to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and X|S. 

Unfortunately for PS5 users, the game will only be available via backwards compatibility. This means that the game will run on the console via the PS4 version. Although, a native version for the current-gen console is coming later this year. 

System requirements 

For the PC version of Orcs Must Die! 3, players will need to know the system requirements to determine if they’re able to actually boot up the title. Below, you can see the full list of system requirements for the game, courtesy of the Steam store page.

As you can see, it doesn’t take much to run the tower defense game in 2021 on PC. However, it will require some semi-current hardware to run the game on maximum settings at 1080p or beyond. Still, most players with an older PC or laptop should be able to load up the game on medium or low settings just fine. 

Gameplay

There’s been a ton of gameplay released for Orcs Must Die! 3 as it was released on Stadia last year. The official launch trailer for the Stadia version is found below. 

Also, the developers of the game, Robot Entertainment, have released a plethora of gameplay videos for Orcs Must Die! 3. However, for players that don’t know much about the game, it’s a tower defense title that sees a wide array of gameplay elements take shape. From traps to weapons, there’s a huge arsenal at your disposal to hold off the enemies from invading your base. 

As the name suggests, the enemies are the Orc army. There’s a deep story behind the games and Orcs Must Die! 3 takes place 20 years after the second title in the series. The base of the game is still defeating Orcs with all at your disposal. Your arsenal grows as you unlock more weapons and abilities, allowing you to expand the ways you can take down Orcs.
