Quantic Dream, the studio behind critically acclaimed cinematic adventure titles like Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, could be gearing up to reveal its new title at the upcoming Gamescom 2022 showcase.
Gamescom 2022's Opening Night Live event is already turning out to be quite an exciting affair, thanks to games like Hogwarts Legacy, The Callisto Protocol, and Gotham Knights, which are all confirmed to be part of the showcase.
Furthermore, there are new announcements, like the new Tales from the Borderlands game that's been long rumored and is finally confirmed to be revealed at this year's Gamescom. Now, this new leak suggests that the next game from the French Studio will also make an appearance at the show.
New Games to be announced at Gamescom 2022
The leak comes from notable games journalist Tom Henderson, who posted the aforementioned info on Try Hard Guides.
According to Henderson, "Sources have said that Quantic Dream will be revealing a new game at Gamescom. It’s understood that the game will be shown during a behind-the-scenes presentation at the event, but it’s currently unclear whether or not the game will be featured at Opening Night Live, although it has been suggested it’s likely."

Now, it seems, Quantic Dream is gearing up to reveal another huge project, codenamed, Dreamland, at Gamescom 2022 Opening Night event.
According to Henderson, "Dreamland is a heroic medieval fantasy and humor game that has been in development since 2015." If Henderson's statement is correct, Dreamland has been in development since before Quantic Dream announced Detroit: Become Human, a game it released in 2018.
Given how Quantic Dream has revealed a new title at Geoff Keighley's show before, it doesn't seem too far-fetched that the company would reveal another at a Keighley show.
That said, the studio could also re-reveal Star Wars Eclipse at this year's Gamescom to diminish the negative rumors and assure fans that all's well with this highly ambitious project.
Whether it's Star Wars Eclipse or Dreamland or a different project entirely, it would be interesting to see what the studio has been cooking up behind the scenes.
Quantic Dream is known to push boundaries through photo-realistic visuals and branching storylines in its games, so it's no surprise that fans of the studio are looking forward to its next-gen only titles.
Gamescom Opening Night Live Showcase kicks off on 23rd August 2022 at 11 am PT / 6 pm GMT.
