Fighting games have had plenty of fun this 2022 with the release of King of Fighters XV or Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Now, MultiVersus is set to become the next big thing within the FGC.
Officially unveiled late in 2021, the WB Games and Player First Games developed title is a free-to-play platform fighter that features iconic characters from a vast library to choose from, including DC superheroes, Game of Thrones, Scooby-Do, Looney Tunes, and many more.
With a Closed Alpha period ongoing and the promise of a closed beta later down the line by WB Games, interest in MultiVersus has spiked in recent weeks. MultiVersus Release date
At the time of writing, we don't have a concrete release date or even a launch window for MultiVersus.

According to the official MultiVersus FAQ, both WB Games and Player First Games are targetting a full MultiVersus launch at some point during 2022.
MultiVersus - Platforms
MultiVersus will be available on a variety of platforms. The following are all confirmed:
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series SIX
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- PC (Via Steam)
Is MultiVersus crossplatform?
Yes, MultiVersus will feature cross-platform play to avoid separating the player base. Furthermore, it'll also have a cross-progression system enabled right from the start.
MultiVersus Beta
The Closed Beta for MultiVersus is scheduled to happen in July 2022. You can register to be eligible by heading to the official MultiVersus website.
MultiVersus - Roster
As of the time of writing, there are 16 confirmed characters for MultiVersus. Player First Games has said they plan to continuously update the roster post-launch, however, this does not mean the full list of playable characters at launch has been revealed.

Is MultiVersus free?
Yes, as we've mentioned, MultiVersus will be a free-to-play experience with monetization coming in the form of cosmetics such as skins and a season pass to progress.
