Psychological Horror Mouthwashing Is Coming To Consoles Later This Year

Developer Wrong Organ took the gaming industry by storm following the release of their psychological horror Mouthwashing and has since received critical acclaim for its compelling narrative and striking visuals. Since then, over 500,000 players have descended into madness following the lives of the Tulpar crew, who were left stranded in space as a result of a bizarre accident.

Since the game's release, the developer has been recognized in multiple Game of the Year (GOTY) lists and awarded accolades at the Horror Game Awards and the New York Game Awards. The game was first released on PC via Steam in September 2024, and the developer recently announced that Mouthwashing is heading to consoles this year.

Console players will finally explore what became of the Tulpar crew as the game's developer, Wrong Organ, and publisher, Critical Reflex, announced that Mouthwashing is gaining a console release in 2025. While a release date has yet to be determined and eventually announced, players on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles will join the damned "500,000 souls" to experience Captain Curly's viewpoints on what led to the crash of the Pony Express freighter and its crew members.

Alongside the console announcement for Mouthwashing, the developer and publisher have teamed up with merchandising company and publisher Fangamer to launch physical editions for consoles. As of this writing, they've confirmed physical editions of Mouthwashing for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, and there's no word of whether one is being planned for Xbox Series X|S.
