Every year, ModDB hosts a Mod of the Year competition in which users are able to vote for their favorite mods of that year. 2023's Mod of the Year results are here, honoring some of the best fan-made mods of 2023, from Thief to Half-Life. Let's take a look at all of the winners.
ModDB's Mods Of The Year 2023: All Award Winners
2023's Mod of the Year is Thief: The Black Parade. This mod describes itself as a "love letter to Thief: The Dark Project," with some tweaks to Thief's gameplay formula. The mod is so popular that Thief's original developers have even tried it out.
Entropy: Zero - Uprising took second place in the awards, while Half-Life mods took third and fourth. Over 82,000 votes decided the result of the Mod of the Year award, and voters chose from 100 nominees.

"Time to close the chapter on what has been a great year for modding, by celebrating the most creative and popular mods as voted by the community," the ModDB team wrote. "Each of the winners deserve our praise, for pushing boundaries and making something amazing on top of the games that they modded, giving us so many reasons to keep playing and exploring new content."
