The wait is finally over as I'll Be Brave, Tomorrow has now launched on Steam worldwide. This latest release by InkForge Studios ran a successfull Kickstarter campaign earlier this year to support development, and the game was made in partnership with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity with half of all revenue earned to be donated directly to them in support of helping seriously ill children.
I'll Be Brave, Tomorrow Launches Worldwide on Steam
I'll Be Brave, Tomorrow is a first-person narrative adventure game about a sick child stuck in the hospital for an extended period of time that finds refuge in playing an '80s inspired 2D platformer. There are a handful of great minigames littered throughout as players get to experience some of how a child might imagine playing with their toys while trying to escape from their illness, but it's the platformer that takes center stage.
With the same vibe as Super Mario and many similar games of that era, players get to experience multiple chapters and levels in an entertaining original 2D experience while progressing through a moving narrative. Making the game was also very personal to the team, as InkForge Studios Director Thomas Hunt was once a patient at the Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children.
Founded well over a century ago, the Great Ormond Street Hospital is now one of the world's leading children's hospitals and serves about 750 seriously ill children and young people every day. GOSH is also a vital home for research as local, national, and international partners team with the hospital to further expand how children in these situations can be helped.
They separated the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity into its own entity in 1998, and donations continue to support child-centred medical facilities, support for patients and family, and further research and technological innovation to improve how doctors can help seriously ill children. You can purchase I'll Be Brave, Tomorrow on Steam for $14.99 or grab a bundle with the game's artbook and soundtrack for just $18.67, and half of all revenue will go directly to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
