Horse Controls Spotted In Dying Light 2 By Reddit User

Controls have been discovered for horses in the INI files for Dying Light 2 by a Reddit user. 

A Reddit user was messing around with the INI files in order to hard change the controls for the game, and discovered lines of code that seemingly indicated that mounts were either originally present in the game or are planned to be added to the game in the near future. 

It's possible that these were files left over from a fantasy title that was previously in development at Techland that was canceled and turned into a DLC for the original Dying Light. However, it's also possible that with DLC on the horizon, we could be seeing ridable mounts added to the base game, similar to how Dying Light 1's DLC added the ability to drive a car around a farm. 

Dying Light 2 was released last year and has received frequent updates ever since, with some adding new items but most simply being to prepare for future larger DLC expansions. The first piece of story DLC was released last year, and a second piece of DLC is expected to launch at some point during the remainder of 2023 that features a brand new map.
