Goat Simulator 3, the sequel to the goat-themed action, sandbox game Goat Simulator, launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S back in 2022. Since then, players have been causing plenty of havoc and devastation as a goat. For the first time, Goat Simulator 3 offered fans a story mode where players could complete quests around the world while being a general menace.
But, today, Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North have launched Goat Simulator 3 on older consoles — PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game includes a local 2-player split-screen co-op, and 2-player online co-op for those playing on the same platform.
“Today’s the day that we launch Goat Simulator 3 onto even more platforms! We’re thrilled that more of our community can now enjoy Pilgor’s destruction on PS4 and Xbox One,” said Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North.
“With this launch, our mission to usurp the original Goat Simulator across all platforms is now complete. Goat Simulator 3 is now playable everywhere that the first game is, and then some. What’s the OG gonna do now, huh? Put itself on new consoles? I don’t think so.”
Interestingly, the original Goat Simulator actually will be getting a remaster, launching on November 7, 2024, bringing the game to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
...But back to Goat Simulator 3. Players that own the Goat Simulator 3 base game, Multiverse DLC, or 2-in-1 bundle on current gen will have access to the same content on the past gen, within the same family of consoles, and vice-versa. So, if you own Goat Simulator 3 on PS4, you'll be able to play the same content on PS5.
Goat Simulator 3 is now available on PC via the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, Game Pass, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
