Saber Interactive, the developer behind SnowRunner and Mudrunner, has expanded this driving simulation franchise in a new spin-off game centered on exploration and research in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game. This spin-off game immerses players into a world of uncharted territory, unique weather conditions, and environments to explore and navigate from the comfort of their rugged vehicle. 

With plenty of technologies and gadgets to utilize for mapping their surroundings and repairing their vehicle, there is plenty of content to look forward to post-launch. Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game is launching for PC and console, and as such, the developer has unveiled plans on what players can anticipate in the coming months. Saber Interactive released a trailer for their Year 1 Pass, which is included in their Year 1 and Supreme Editions, and highlights key information on content arriving in the game.

The Year 1 Pass features four seasonal DLCs that will release periodically throughout the year, and each DLC contains unique content for players to enjoy and utilize. We don't have a complete timeframe for these DLCs, but we'll update this page once the information becomes readily available.

Nevertheless, players can acquire the Year 1 Pass separately from their dedicated storefront for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. Likewise, the  Year 1 Pass is included in the game's Year 1 and Supreme game editions, which are now available for the above-mentioned platforms.

There will be plenty of new content that is included in these four DLCs as part of the Year 1 Pass. According to publisher Focus Entertainment, the pass excludes the additional content and updates added to the game regularly, including the upcoming release of the Co-Op mode.

Firstly, the Year 1 Pass will add "several dozens of fresh expeditions" across the four DLCs, totaling around 100 missions. These new missions task players in investigating zones within Arizona and the Carpathians, making them discover mysteries connected to "a buried ancient civilization."

Also arriving to Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game are a few more Specialists whose skills and capabilities will make their time exploring the terrains more streamlined. Each Specialist will cater to the players' needs or mission specifics that will maximize their success rate while exploring the open-world environments.

Similarly, plenty of new vehicles will be added, excluding those in the Pioneer Pack or the various game editions. These boisterous new vehicles should be able to tackle the unique terrains and new areas they'll be exploring in the upcoming seasonal DLCs and help lighten the load when equipping their vehicle with the best gadgets.

Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game 2024 Roadmap: New Features & Gameplay Features

The Year Pass & Editions Trailer mentions new gameplay mechanics; however, we can't determine what these added features will be as we approach the game's global release. Likewise, players will gain new technologies and gadgets to aid them during their research missions as they traverse the terrains and overcome any obstacles.

Players will be treated to plenty of free content and support updates throughout the year, including new content bonuses to enjoy. These free updates will be announced through their social media channels and official developer blog sites for players to preview, including the upcoming game mode for cooperative play.

Co-Op mode is excluded from the base game; however, it will be added post-launch sometime this year as no release date can be confirmed. The co-op mode will see players band together to embark on research missions, share their technologies and gadgets, and overcome challenging routes and terrains.

Co-op mode will support a maximum of three players as they help set up a campsite, help rescue a stuck player with a winch, scan unknown locations, and proceed with their explorations within the expansive world. Official dates and times for the launch of the Co-op mode have yet to be confirmed; however, this guide will be updated on the latest news and updates regarding this mode.
