What Are Specialists In Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game?

Exploring the wilderness across the three unique maps, Little Colorado, Arizona, and the Carpathian Mountains, will challenge players as they overcome the rugged terrains and dangers that lurk in the natural environments. As they'll be taken on various research missions or expeditions throughout their campaign, they'll encounter knowledgeable personnel who will make traversal and completing missions much more manageable.

These specialized contractors are known as Specialists in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game, as these team members offer unique skills and bonuses that can aid players during their explorations. Specialists are broken down into multiple classes, offering varied skills to assist them in their exploits; however, players must choose wisely which Specialists they wish to employ.

There are six unique Specialist classes to choose contractors to employ for their team, and some are available at the start of the game. The Specialist classes available are as follows:

• Hydrologists: These Specialists pride themselves on understanding water movement within the environments but can provide some valuable benefits when hired, like decreasing damage to vehicles and expanding underwater radius.
• Jaegers: These resourceful contractors ensure that they can discover shortcuts when exploring the open world
• Logisticians: Hiring a Logistician will offer players increased binocular range and repair parts
• Managers: Managers will see players get more bang for their money; for example, item purchases will be decreased while reselling will be increased, and there will be various perks like free evacuations and more.
• Mechanics: These Specialists provide mechanical upgrades and bonuses to the vehicles, including repairing damages or lowering fuel consumption.
• Operators: Operators will grant players unique perks for the Drone gadget, such as increasing the Drone's range and height and discovering Airdrops.

How to Unlock Specialists In Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game?

A few Specialists will be unlocked by default at the start of the game, but many more are locked behind various quests. Players will have to wait until they've completed all the expeditions in Little Colorado before moving onto the Arizona map, where they can start progressing through expeditions and unlock Specialists.

To hire a Specialist, players can navigate to the Expedition Setup from the Headquarters section, where players can choose the expedition they wish to carry out. From the setup screen, move the cursor to Team Composition and select any available slots to redirect them to the Team Recruitment screen.

Here, players can view all the available Specialists, categorized by their classes, which players can view their profiles and what bonuses and skills they offer. Each Specialist has a specific asking price, which differs for each person regardless of their class; however, some will be shaded as they're not unlocked, and players can view the quest requirements to meet before they can be hired.
