Evil Dead The Game Ash Williams – How to unlock

Evil Dead The Game features many popular and iconic characters from the Evil Dead franchise, including survivors and Deadites or Demons. The survivors are divided into four character classes that possess unique abilities, skills and weaponry to aid you in your battle against the dead.

One Ash Williams character is locked behind a mission that players will need to complete for him to be a playable character. This guide will guide you on how to unlock Ash vs Evil Dead’s Ash Williams and complete the mission in Evil Dead The Game.

How to unlock Ash Williams from Ash vs Evil Dead in Evil Dead The Game?

Evil Dead The Game features many versions of the iconic Ash Williams character across multiple films and television appearances. As one of the main Survivors, you can either lead your group of heroic survivors to safety or have them die in an epic yet brutal fashion.

While most of the characters are available to play at launch, Ash Williams from the TV series, Ash vs Evil Dead, is one character you’ll need to unlock by completing a specific mission. Unlocking this character will be added to the roster of characters for the Leader class.

To unlock Ash vs Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, you’ll need to complete the first mission, “If You Love Someone, Set Them Free… With a Chainsaw”, through the single-player missions for him to be available. Not only do they explain in detail the backstory of the game, but as such give you access to audio files called the Knowby Recordings.

Additionally, you’ll be playing as Ash Williams from the Evil Dead 2 throughout the mission, meaning you’ll have access to his abilities and skills. This includes starting the mission with a chainsaw and an Active Skill which detonates an explosion which inflicts damage to their health bar.

How to complete Mission 1 in Evil Dead The Game?

After killing your possessed girlfriend, Linda, who had become a Deadite or a Demon, you’ll need to leave the safety of The Knowby Cabin to the Bronson Cave, where you’ll need to locate Linda’s necklace somewhere inside.

The necklace isn’t far from the cave’s entrance, and once you’ve located her necklace, you’ll need a shovel which can be found inside a cabin at the Circus Cages. With a shovel in your hand, you’ll need to find the gravesite where you’ve buried her head.

Be warned that the area surrounding the Circus Cages is considered “cursed grounds”, so you’ll be bombarded by Deadites as long as you’re in this area. Head south towards the Demonic Treehouse location from the Circus Cages and fight off Deadites that spawn here.

Once you’ve found Linda’s grave, dig up the plot for her head as you’ll have to defeat a wave of Deadites to progress and light a bonfire nearby. Head to the Payne Manor to find some supplies to ensure your survival before going back to the cabin.

Locate the workshed beside the cabin, where you’ll have to defeat Henrietta and another Deadite. Placing Linda’s head within the clamp will complete the first mission and unlock Ash vs Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, the first Knowby Recording and the second mission, Party Down!
