Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes has been delayed to Q2 2024, according to a Kickstarter post from the developers.
The Kickstarter Post reads as follows:
"In order to deliver a game that so many fans have supported, we announce a revised release date of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, with the game now due during the Calendar Year Q2 of 2024. The decision was made in order to ensure the best possible story, and to reward the legion of backers with the best game experience possible"
The Kickstarter for the game received over 481 million Yen in pledges from 46,000 backers, meaning that it absolutely smashed the original goal of around 53 million Yen. For context, the original goal was about $386 thousand dollars, and the amount pledged was around three and a half million dollars overall.
The Eiyuden Chronicles game that was released last year, Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising, was a stretch goal for when they hit a certain threshold and acts as a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, which will be the main title when it launches. The game was met with warm critical reviews and was first announced during E3 2021 before launching for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch last year.
