Dying Light 2 Stay Human release is imminent, and while the horror parkour adventure will be available on a lot of platforms, numerous fans want to know if Dying Light 2 will come to Xbox Game Pass as well.
The sequel to 2015's Dying Light is set to be released on 4th February 2022 after a few delays and it's coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Set 20 years after Dying Light, Dying Light 2 will bring back the series' signature parkour gameplay and day/night cycle, but will also expand the formula with a significantly bigger world (The City) and a much stronger emphasis on narrative with several human factions, branching storyline, a lot of decision making, and overall more prominent RPG mechanics compared to the original game.
Developers Techland promise that the game will require over 500 hours to "fully complete", with all the different choices taken into consideration, which means that it will probably be well worth the money even for a full price. But if you are a Game Pass subscriber, you are probably wondering if you could play it via this service.
Let's see what we know about Dying Light 2 being on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
Is Dying Light 2 on Game Pass?
Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service has recently reached 25M active monthly players, a huge milestone for the platform.
Xbox Game Pass is a core part of Xbox strategy in this generation of consoles, and Microsoft is constantly expanding video game offerings on Game Pass, with over 300 games available at the moment.
Recently, many big games, even some that are not first-party games, started appearing on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1, like Rainbow Six Extraction or Nobody Saves the World, and so fans started speculating if some other big upcoming games will appear on the platform Day 1 as well.
Dying Light 2 was originally announced at E3 2018 during the Xbox press conference, and fans are hoping that this means some kind of collaboration between the tech giant and the Polish studio.
Unfortunately, as far as we know at the moment, there are no plans for Dying Light 2 to be added to Game Pass on Day 1.
Though it should be noted that Techland's games Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide were both added to Xbox Game Pass previously. Nonetheless, at the moment, there is no official announcement if Dying Light 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
So there you have it, that's the answer to the "is Dying Light 2 coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One?" question.
