The 90s are coming back in a big way, with a Croc HD remaster confirmed.
The founder of Argonaut Games and creator of the original Croc, Jez San, has confirmed on Twitter that a Croc HD remaster is in the works, stating:
"I have news but it’s a little premature to announce it. a ‘Croc HD’ has started early development."
This follows from HD remasters and remakes of games such as Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot which were released over the last few years. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was first released back in 1997 for the Sony PlayStation. It was developed by Argonaut Games and Virtucraft and is considered a cult classic by a lot of people.
As of right now, it's extremely unclear when the remaster will actually release. If it is only entering early development then it could be years before we hear about the game again, similar to MachineGames Indiana Jones game, which was also announced extremely early and before any real work had begun on the game, though that was announced through a video and not a tweet.
