Sorceries in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery is another exciting gameplay mechanic but stretches beyond traditional spell casting. Instead, it adds more fluidity and depth to the game with various spells and abilities that can quickly assist in striking foes or accessing hard-to-reach places.

As players’ curiosity for sorceries grows, they’ll likely find several spells that best align with their playstyle and build. But in terms of time and efficiency, some chants are superior. We explore the best spell to acquire and how to utilize it in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery.

What Is The Best Spell To Use In Conan Exiles 3.0?

Technically, two spells are beneficial when players progress their journey throughout the Exiled Lands. These have a more practical approach as they greatly enhance the gameplay. But in general gameplay and character progression, the best spells to have are Word of Power: Mass Cull and Word of Power: Call of Nergal.

Word of Power: Call of Nergal is unlocked after upgrading the Tome of Kurak to Level 11, allowing players to summon a giant bat. Once summoned, they can jump onto the bat and traverse vast distances or glide over areas. In the latter's case, having an elevated platform to launch themselves onto the bat is advised to boost the jump momentum without falling forward and glide greater distances over a short time.

Using the bat won’t affect player encumbrance as they can summon and fly the bat without having to worry about inventory weight or quickly depleting its stamina. However, draining the bat’s stamina will drop players, leading to their death. So, players must consider the distance and stamina consumed when calling the bat or meeting their untimely demise in the deserts of the Exiled Lands.

The other spell is equally helpful for character progression, and overall gameplay allows players to harvest and recall minerals within an area around them. The Word of Power: Mass Cull can be acquired after unlocking Level 6 for the Tome of Kurak together with the Word of Power: Detect Resources.

Mass Cull reduces the time taken to harvest resources within an area, making farming more efficient. Especially when gathering valuable resources needed for gear and equipment and now with the updated overhaul to the building mechanic, this spell makes grinding more optimized.

For Builder/Worker/Farmer builds in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery, this spell is worth the investment as it saves time harvesting resources and carries vast amounts of resources. Together with the Word of Power: Call of Nergal, players' farming routes are more efficient as they can travel between locations and farm enough resources in a fraction of the time.

This spell works wonders on common resources and minerals like Crystals and Starmetal. In the latter case, players can do it without breaking the outer shell, saving much time, resources, and effort using Mass Cull instead of a hardened steel pickaxe.

For rarer resources, utilize the Word of Power: Word of Power: Abyssal Mount - Horse or Rhino with Mass Cull instead of Call of Nergal to cover greater distances without the threat of death. Should players deplete the bat’s stamina before reaching their destination, it will drop them regardless, so either mount mitigates their potential death from being dropped out of the sky.

These spells are possibly overpowered now that they’re available in the Conan Exiles version 3.0 update, especially when the constant need for grinding is greatly emphasized. However, the payoff when utilizing them is efficiency over time, so it has undoubtedly made farming easier in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery.
