Forthcoming turn-based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 received a new trailer announcing some of the game's principal voiceover cast. The latest trailer showcases more "awe-inspiring landscapes," new gameplay details, and introduces players to the cast and characters we'll encounter during this "fated journey towards the Paintress."
As of this writing, the game is slated for a Spring 2025 release for consoles and PCs, and it will be available through the Xbox Game Pass service upon launch. Independent developer Sandfall Interactive is partnering with Kepler Interactive as its publisher, but as we await the game's official release date announcement, players can get acquainted with its voiceover cast, so let's meet them!
In the official press release from developer Sandfall Interactive, the latest trailer for their debut release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, presents players with "the heroic Expeditioners and their pursuit of destroying the Paintress and freeing humanity from her cycle of death; players will also encounter mysterious and dangerous strangers who seem motivated by entirely different, and conflicting, forces." As for who players can hear during this ambitious new gameplay experience in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 features a "star-studded roster" including Daredevil: Born Again lead Charlie Cox and acclaimed actor and motion capture performer Andy Serkis in key roles as Gustave and Renoir.
According to the aforementioned press release, "Gustave [is] a resourceful and dedicated engineer who devotes his final year of life to defeating the Paintress and reclaiming a future for Lumière’s children," while Renoir is touted as "a forceful and passionate man [who] knows that victory demands sacrifice, and he is fully prepared to pay the price." Joining Cox and Serkis in various roles in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 includes Ben Starr (Final Fantasy 16, Warframe: 1999), Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate 3, Elden Ring), Kirsty Rider (The Sandman, Sifu, Industry), and Shala Nyx (Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, The Old Guard).
Rounding out the initial voiceover cast in unspecified roles includes Baldur’s Gate 3 voice actors Devora Wilde and Tracy Wiles, with Good Omens actor Rich Keeble and Ineffable's Maxence Cazorla. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available to Wishlist for their preferred platform as it will be available digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, with physical editions planned in collaboration with Maximum Entertainment and Bandai Namco in various countries and territories.
