Funko Fusion got its biggest update yet today, bringing substantial changes to gameplay, characters, and more. The most major change, developers say, is the ability to play through Story Mode with any character you've already unlocked. But it's far from the only one - in fact, there's quite a lengthy list of quality-of-life fixes and updates that've been added to the new title.
Another game-changing update is that once players complete the first level of a World, they'll immediately unlock all four base characters from that world rather than having to play through each level and earn them individually. Other quality-of-life updates include immunity while drinking Sodas, less expensive Crown Buy machines, and many others.
These updates should make the game "more fun" - something that developers say they missed the mark on at release. The free update is available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Steam today.
"We’ve heard you loud and clear that you want to have more fun playing Funko Fusion, so this is our first of several major updates with changes that will improve your experience," developers wrote in a Steam News update. "In this update, we are making changes that will allow you to access Worlds and characters much faster than before, and we are reducing some of the stress of combat by re-balancing enemy and boss encounters across various levels."
Fans largely received the changes positively, with many pointing out that the Funko Fusion team has been highly receptive to feedback since the game's release. However, some report that there are still bugs remaining in the new code.
