Babylon's Fall - Release date, time, features and gameplay

Babylon's Fall is a new upcoming cooperative action RPG from developers of NieR:Automata and Bayonetta, PlatinumGames. The game was initially revealed at E3 in 2018 and later reintroduced with a "game as a service" model last year.

In the game, players take control of a Sentinel warrior and ascend to greatness by climbing the Tower of Babel. Thanks to the game's co-op feature, up to three friends can join in the quests to uncover the tower's fabled treasures and eliminate enemies in their path. Otherwise, players can attempt to scale the tower solo.

Babylon's Fall - Release Date and Time

The launch date for Babylon's Fall is 3rd March 2022, and the game is slated to release across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC platforms, with crossplay support.

Babylon's Fall is available for pre-order, and the demo version has been freely available since 25th February, allowing players to explore the first season, "Eternal Tower".

Otherwise, the game retails for $59.99 and $99.99 for the Standard and Deluxe Editions, respectively.

Notably, players can get three days early access to the game, in addition to the Gideon Attire Pack & Zu Attire Pack, Legatus Cape & Winged Cape, Acanthus Frontlet Accessory and a Pre-Order Bonus, simply by purchasing the Deluxe Edition.

Babylon's Fall - Features and Gameplay

This "hack and slash" game is played from a third-person perspective and follows a group of warriors bonded with special equipment called Gideons Coffins as they scale the titanic Tower of Babel. As players approach the summit, they will encounter foes and unlock loot to make them stronger.

"After the Babylonians perished, only their great tower, 'The Ziggurat,' remained. Now, a new empire has come to pillage its ruins and uncover its fabled treasures. Join forces with other Sentinels, unwilling subjects forcibly implanted with Gideon Coffin, relics that grant the few survivors unrivalled powers," the game's description reads.

Players can choose their playstyle, wielding weapons with unique skills and abilities. Using the power of the Gideon Coffin, they can customise their loadout with up to 4 weapons at a time. "The unique game visuals are achieved using a newly developed "brushwork style" to create a unique fantasy setting with a medieval oil painting aesthetic. Play in co-op online multiplayer for up to 4 players."
