The week-long marathon sees a variety of top speedrunners showcase glitches and skips through beloved titles, raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation through viewer donations.
This year’s event, which concluded on Sunday 12 January, managed to raise ,131,475 for the charity, beating last year’s Summer Games Done Quick event which raised just over million.
Last year’s AGDQ event in January raised over $2.4 million.

It also coincides with the 10th anniversary of AGDQ, with the first ever event raising just over $10,000 - having grown enormously since then.
It isn’t just about speedrunning at the event, with this year’s bash featuring covers of Metal Gear Solid 3 track Snake Eater, giveaways and interviews with players.
