Coming from a galaxy far, far away, and after plenty of delays since its initial reveal at E3 2019, Warner Bros. and TT Games have finally revealed the release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, together with a new trailer during Gamescom's Opening Night Live.
So now, whether you are a big fan of everything LEGO, or you are passionate about all Star Wars, let’s take a look at what awaits you in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Development and gameplay details
Set in the vast cinematic universe of the legendary Star Wars franchise, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be the biggest release from development studio TT Games to date, as it will bring all nine main chapters from the entire saga, into a single massive and fun experience for both LEGO and Star Wars fans.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will, like the LEGO Star Wars games of before, look to mix a healthy dose of humour into the stories, while also keeping the legacy and original plots from the films intact.
Prior to this, TT Games had already worked on bringing Episodes I to VI into LEGO video games, with the release of their first Star Wars game back in 2005, a sequel covering the “Original Trilogy” in 2006, a combination of both in The Complete Saga released in 2007 and a standalone game focused on the timeline of the “The Force Awakens” in 2016.
Besides this, we must note this compendium won’t be a remastering of these previous titles, but rather a completely new video game, made from scratch to take advantage of the new consoles' power.
Also, being a game that combines more than 20 years of franchise history, it will have a gigantic playable roster which you can unlock as you progress through the story, as well as acquiring them with credits you will get by completing missions.
Players will be able to visit legendary locations, such as the Geonosis Desert, the Dagobah Swamps or the snowy landscapes of the Starkiller base, as well as being able to travel through space and revisit any planet at any time.
Thanks to this, you will be able to play with total freedom, able to access any of the nine films in the saga in any order, so it will depend on you how you will enjoy its story, and which sites you will explore on your next adventure.
