In The Plucky Squire, players will use a unique currency, Light Bulbs, to get new upgrades, art, and more. While Light Bulbs are critical to progression and getting powerful weapons, the game doesn't explain to you how to get them right off the bat; instead, you'll have to figure that out for yourself. To help you out, here's how to get more Bulbs in The Plucky Squire.
How To Get More Light Bulbs
Light Bulbs, also known as inspiration are a pretty versatile resource that you'll use often in The Plucky Squire. So, thankfully, you can get them from multiple different places. Here's every way you can get more Light Bulbs:
Exploration
You can find Light Bulbs around the world, but normally they aren't immediately visible to the naked eye. Instead, you'll need to find them by exploring and interacting with the world around you. Light Bulbs will often appear when you:
- Attack bushes
- Cut grass
- Shake trees
- Destroy crates or barrels
While you'll only get one or two Light Bulbs from each bush or tree, they add up! Clearing out grass and bushes can also reveal hidden objects, like Glitchbirds or Art Scrolls, that may have been concealed by them.
Defeating Enemies
While exploration is a great way to get more of the currency you need in The Plucky Squire over time, another way to do so is through defeating enemies. Not all enemies will drop Light Bulbs, but all enemy types do at least have a chance of dropping them, so if you're looking for some extra currency it's good to defeat all the baddies you can in each area.
Those are the only ways you can get Light Bulbs in The Plucky Squire. You'll likely gain Light Bulbs organically as you progress throughout the storybook, but since they're so important to getting upgrades and weapons, you'll want to seek them out as much as possible.
