The legendary Kyo Kusanagi joins The King of Fighters XV roster

During the last weeks, SNK has been introducing each of the characters that will be part of the roster of The King of Fighters XV, having been announced Team Hero, and more recently Joe Higashi.

Now, a few hours ago, SNK has decided to release the sixth fighter, being one of the most legendary characters of the company and of the fighting game community in general, the eternal rival of Iori Yagami: Kyo Kusanagi.

Starring Tomoaki Maeno, who has given voice to the character since the last instalment, KOF XIV, the appearance and some of the abilities of Kusanagi has been revealed, who shines with his already distinguishable powerful attacks while using his Pyrokinesis.

With his family's well-known martial arts style, combined with great boxing punches, SNK has made Kyo's presence noticeable in the trailer by pitting him against Benimaru, who is part of Team Hero, and against his rival, Iori.

Likewise, one of the main maps of the new game has been seen in the background, this being the host stage of the King of Fighters tournament, where both Kyo and other characters will try to win the title of the best fighter.

At the moment it has not been revealed if Kyo and Iori will team up again as in previous games with Chizuru, or which team they will belong to, however, it is expected that next week more about this will be revealed with the announcement of another new character.
