Texas Chain Saw Massacre's 11 June patch adds two new characters, Family Member Hands and the highly-anticipated Victim Maria, and largely reworks skill trees. The patch is now live across consoles and PC.
As part of the skill tree rework, random nodes have been removed from every character's skill tree and will be replaced with dedicated perks. While players' will have their characters respecced when they open the game after the patch, perk levels will remain the same for all characters.
The new update will allow players to get the perks they want, without respeccing multiple times.
"The team designed the metagame to leave some elements randomized, hoping to create opportunities for a surprise score in the skill tree by way of a perk unlock. The random nodes unfortunately did not work out that way, and many players expressed frustrations at these nodes, wanting to just reroll until a specific perk could be obtained," said Mattshotcha from Gun Interactive.
"After a lot of examination and iteration, the team has decided to replace the random nodes fully with perks we think will keep the trees fair and balanced, but also allow some opportunity for better build diversity and synergy."
Hands and Maria are available for $9.99 USD each, or can be bundled together for $17.99 USD. Also new in the shop is the Leland Outfit Pack II for $4.99 USD.
The patch also contains various bug fixes, including fixes to the 'Wait a Second' and 'Back for 'Blood perks.'
