Unlike in some other asymmetrical horror titles like Dead by Daylight, Victims can fight back against Slaughter Family members in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre, saving themselves and their team from certain deaths. Some characters are better at this than others, but all Victims have a chance to fight back against Family members in one way or another.
You'll want to know what to do in a close encounter with any Slaughter Family member - especially more aggressive, damaging ones like Leatherface - so here's how to fight back as a Victim in Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
How To Fight Back As A Victim In Texas Chain Saw Massacre
There are multiple methods to fighting back as a Victim in TCSM: using Bone Scraps, playing as Leland, or equipping certain perks that give you the power to more powerfully stun killers and set them back in a chase.
Stab Killers With Bone Scraps
Victims can find Bone Scraps around the map, collecting them in order to stab Family members from behind and make a sneaky escape. Gathering these Bone Scraps does make noise, so it's important to mask it when possible. Using perks can help you not only find Bone Scraps but make use of them. For example, Well Trained lets you see Bone Scraps after jumping into a well, so you can get your hands on them and attack killers.
Fight Back Using Leland's Ability
Leland's Life Saver ability lets him stun Slaughter Family members, protecting himself or other Victims in close combat. This ability has a cooldown, though, so make sure you have an escape plan when you use it. It's excellent when paired with certain in-game perks that help you stun killers even more efficiently, which leads to our next method...
Use Victim Perks To Better Stun Killers
There are two Victim perks that involve stunning killers: Choose Fight and Fight Back. Choose Fight increases the amount of time killers are stunned, while Fight Back gives them a stamina debuff when you do. Once you stab a killer with Bone Scraps or Life Saver, this can ensure that you make a clean escape, whether you're playing Leland or a more stealthy victim like Sonny.
Using these tips and strategies, you can fight back against Slaughter Family members as a Victim in Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This gives you a better chance of successfully escaping and helping your teammates do the same.
