Gun Interactive's Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is set for an August 2023 release, and, to hold fans over during the wait before pre-orders are available, the team has released some information about the game's gameplay, characters, graphics, and maps prior to its release.
One of the most interesting assets provided by the team is all of the maps that will be in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, including a graphic for each. Let's take a look at all of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre maps so far.
All Texas Chain Saw Massacre Maps
In a post on the website for their upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre game, Gun Interactive explained in detail their thought process behind designing all of the maps.
“When choosing and designing the levels, we knew we wanted players to really experience the iconic locations from the original movie as well as add our own stamp on the franchise," said Steve Kirby, Lead Designer. "These are key locations for the Family and their Victims, and it would not be The Texas Chain Saw Massacre without them."
Without further ado, here are all of the maps in Texas Chain Saw Massacre so you can see for yourself:
The Gas Station is littered with junk piles and broken-down vehicles that have been dumped and forgotten in the spaces between buildings. The Slaughterhouse is this maze-like claustrophobic tangle of broken-down buildings and cattle panels. How do we make sure that we’re still promoting the same core gameplay while players are forced to play differently in each location?
Family House Map
According to the Texas Chain Saw Massacre game's site, "The Family House sits virtually alone in a sea of green grass and sunflowers with open lines of sight anywhere outside." This is one of the most iconic locations in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise, home to Leatherface's iconic basement.
Gas Station
The Gas Station is another important location in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise, serving as the location where we meet the Family's Cook for the first time. The game's website describes this map as "littered with junk piles and broken-down vehicles that have been dumped and forgotten in the spaces between buildings."
Slaughterhouse Map
The last memorable location from the franchise, the Slaughterhouse, is a "maze-like claustrophobic tangle of broken down buildings and cattle panels."
That's it for now. It's possible that new maps will be added before the game's release or that the graphics above will see changes before the game hits shelves. For now, though, this is our first look at all maps in Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
