Publisher Bandai Namco unveiled Season 2 of their popular fighting game TEKKEN 8, in which they confirmed four new playable characters arriving to join the King of Iron Fist Tournament. This reveal included announcing the first playable DLC character, the returning Anna Williams, coming to TEKKEN 8 via the Character Pass this April.

Anna Williams is the younger sister to Nina Williams and a highly skilled assassin who debuted in the first TEKKEN game in 1994 and has made several appearances in subsequent releases. With an exception for TEKKEN 4, Anna also appeared in TEKKEN Tag Tournament and its sequel and TEKKEN 3D and will be making her presence felt as the first playable DLC character arriving in the TEKKEN 8 Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and Character Pass, respectively.

As confirmed by the developers in the recent TEKKEN Talk Live broadcast stream, the TEKKEN 8 Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and Character Pass will launch for all available platforms on 1st April 2025. Holders of either pass will gain 72-hour Early Access to Anna Williams starting from 31st March 2025 before the character is officially available to all players on 3rd April 2025.

Likewise, this new season will feature six new DLCs, including two new Stages, the first launching this Summer with the second Stage arriving this Winter to TEKKEN 8. Like the first playable DLC character, all new content will have a 72-hour Early Access period for pass holders before being available to the general public.

Also announced during the TEKKEN Talk Live broadcast stream are new gameplay adjustments for all playable characters and new updates to the Rank Match system. Some of the changes outlined by the developer include leaderboard resets, and new "high tier ranks" will be added for players to achieve as they'll start the season with a newly updated rank and will be matched accordingly throughout the season determined "on their highest-ranked character’s rank points."

Finally, the developer announced new details for the TEKKEN World Tour 2025, which will begin at EVO Japan in May 2025. According to an official statement, this year's TEKKEN World Tour features "changes to the DOJO point system and Top 8 qualification"; more details can be found at the official TEKKEN World Tour website.
