Is The Talos Principle 2 Coming To PS Plus

Puzzle gaming enthusiasts are anticipating the release of Croteam’s upcoming game, The Talos Principle 2. As the sequel to 2014’s The Talos Principle, the developer has expanded the world by incorporating new environments, increased puzzle difficulty, and more thought-provoking philosophical themes to explore.

PlayStation owners looking to grab the game at launch can take advantage of a discount currently available for PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) members, but can we see the game coming to the service soon? We’ve got our thinking caps on as we investigated whether The Talos Principle 2 will be coming to PS Plus.

Will The Talos Principle 2 Be Coming To PlayStation Plus?

The Talos Principle 2 will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles on 2nd November 2023, as confirmed by its publisher, Devolver Digital, and developer Croteam. Technically, the game can be played on PS4 consoles, but the game's listing on the PlayStation Store warned that "some features available may be absent."

Regarding whether the game will be available through the PlayStation Plus subscription service at launch, the answer to this question is quite similar to its availability via Xbox Game Pass. As we're unable to confirm it will be available from day one via PS Plus, the game is currently discounted for those with a PS Plus subscription.

Based on the game's PlayStation Store listing, PS Plus members can receive a 10% discount on The Talos Principle 2 before the game's launch. This discount will expire on 2nd November 2023 at 6 pm GMT+2, for which the game will revert to retailing price once released.

With this in mind, The Talos Principle 2 may be available as a free game in the near future, as Sony has yet to announce November 2023's titles. Its original game, The Talos Principle - Deluxe Edition, was made a free game for the subscription service in June 2023 for PS4 consoles, similar to the game previously added to the Xbox Game Pass library.

The game's Deluxe Edition includes the Road to Gehenna DLC and bonus content like episodes that expand the narrative and "put your puzzle-solving skills to the ultimate test." For now, PS Plus members can enjoy their discount bonus, which is currently active until moments before the game's launch, to add The Talos Principle 2 to their games library.

The Talos Principle 2 launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam on 2nd November 2023. The game is available to pre-order and can be added to the Wishlist for PlayStation and PC.
