Are you tired of consistently running out of ammo in Starfield? Guns are the primary way to fend off enemies in Starfield, unless you're a space ninja who stealthily slashes everything in their path.
You may notice, especially in the early hours of the game, that there's quite a scarcity of ammo, no matter which weapon you use. It feels like Starfield took a page out of Halo 4's book, and we don't mean that as a compliment. Regardless, there are ways to get plentiful ammo in Starfield, and in this guide, we explain the best way to do that.
The Best Way To Get Ammo In Starfield
The best way to get more ammo in Starfield is to buy it. It's because, most of the time, you'll be looking for a specific ammo type for a specific weapon, and it's best to stock up on them before heading out.
Thankfully, buying ammo won't cost too many Credits, and since you will find plenty of those by simply completing main quests, there's no reason to save up.
You can buy ammo in every city in Starfield. Also, since it's ammo, not weapons, you don't necessarily need to find a weapon shop. Instead, you could buy them from a general store.
For the sake of convenience, we recommend visiting Akila City to buy ammo since both the general store and the weapons store are easy to find. The Shepherd's General Store is just on the left-hand side of the entrance, and the Rowland Arms is adjacent to it.
You could also find ammo shops in the New Atlantis City, but it has many districts, and if you're running low on time, you're better off visiting Akila City for a quick detour.
If you don't want to spend your hard-earned Credits on buying ammo, you could instead invest in the Scavenger Perk in the Social skill line. Upgrading it to Rank 2 will increase the chance of finding extra ammo when searching containers.
And that's pretty much it. You could also find ammo boxes scattered around the word, but the best way to get more ammo in Starfield is to buy them, especially in the early hours.
