Throughout her epic adventures across the Outer Rim, Kay Vess will acquire a few handy items that may serve her well when encountering enemies or obstacles. However, carrying enough Bacta Vials and Grenades is severely limited, so there is a way to increase its capacity, allowing Kay to carry more items simultaneously.

This is where the Scoundrel and Outlaw's Pouches come in handy as both upgrades increase the carrying limit of Bacta Vials and Grenades, but she'll need to consult a specific Expert NPC to unlock it. This guide details how players can get the Scoundrel and Outlaw's Puches in Star Wars Outlaws.

How To Get The Scoundrel & Outlaws' Pouches In Star Wars Outlaws?

From the get-go, we'll realize that healing becomes extremely important, especially when Kay takes one too many hits from enemies during intense shootouts that can leave her vulnerable. While we can opt to use the Nix Sense to protect Kay, which allows her some time to heal using Bacta Vials, we'll also learn that Kay cannot carry enough vials simultaneously nor pick up vials dropped by enemies.

When starting the game, Kay is limited to carrying two Bacta Vials at any given time, but there's a way to increase the max number of vials she can hold. Firstly, they must progress with the game to reach Toshara and complete the Crashed, Underground, and New Tricks quests to gain access to the Trailblazer, the Speeder, and two pieces of intel they'll get from their broker, Danka.

One piece of intel will lead us through a chain quest for the Mechanic Expert, which, upon its completion, we get a Speeder upgrade and unlock their respective Expert skills or upgrades. Each skill or upgrade has a unique set of objectives to complete to gain them, of which one such upgrade is the Scoundrel Pouch.

According to its in-game description, the Scoundrel Pouch will "increase the amount ot Bacta Vials and Grenades Kay can carry by one each." By default, Kay can carry two Bacta Vials and three Grenades each, and with this upgrade, she'll be able to carry three vials and four Grenades.

To gain this upgrade, players must acquire four pieces of Robuma Leather, eight Coarseweave materials, and Durafiber Fabric; the latter can be traced to a Crimson Dawn hideout where they can get this material. Robuma Leather can be purchased from merchants and survivalists or discovered within civilian areas and Pyke-controlled territories, which could be easy or challenging depending on their current Reputation status.

This unlocks the Scoundrel Pouch, which immediately unlocks the conditions for the Outlaw's Pouch, which increases the number of Bacta Vials and Grenades by one more. For the Outlaw's Pouch, they must acquire 18 Coarseweave and ten Polycarbonate, commonly found throughout the open world and purchased from merchants and survivalists, and the Elastic Durafiber Fabric, which can be bought from a traveling Rogue Merchant.

Regarding the latter, the Rogue Merchant Scoundrels must seek out Shuma, and if they engage in dialogue with the merchant, they'll learn that they've traveled across many planets throughout the galaxy. More specifically, they can be spotted between Sashin Village in Akiva, Ridge Terrace on Kijimi, and Typhoon's Rock in Toshara and explore their Inventory, where they can also find a few Charms and the Elastic Durafiber Fabric material.

With both pouches unlocked, Kay can carry four Bacta Vials and five Grenades at a time, which should be of great help when low on either item, and can pick up dropped vials and Grenades from enemies. Don't forget that consumable merchants are located throughout the Outer Rim stock Bacta Vials and Grenades that can be purchased with Credits, but we would advise reserving this option unless necessary.
