Ubisoft Reveals Star Wars Outlaws Post-Launch Roadmap With New Story DLCs

Star Wars Outlaws' global launch is less than a few weeks away, and publisher Ubisoft has officially revealed the action-adventure game's post-launch roadmap. This roadmap details all the new content that Jedi, Rebels, and Outlaws alike can anticipate in the coming months, including new story content, cosmetic packs, and more.

Ubisoft also explained how players can access all future post-launch content for Star Wars Outlaws, including the Jabba's Gambit exclusive mission that will be available at launch. The first batch of post-launch content is expected to arrive this Fall, with a release date to be announced soon.

Despite the controversies surrounding the game's launch and price point, Ubisoft is still on track to release the much-anticipated galactic action-adventure Star Wars Outlaws in August 2024. The publisher released a new developer post outlining the game's post-launch roadmap featuring new content arriving to the game in the coming months.

Starting on launch day, players can access the  Kessel Runner character pack, which includes new cosmetics for Kay Vess and Nix and the exclusive Jabba's Gambit mission to explore along with the base game. Post-launch, the first batch of content arriving in Fall 2024, with a release date to be announced, sees two new cosmetic packs, the Cartel Ronin and Hunter's Legacy, which adds more cosmetics for Kay, Nix, her speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer.

With the two cosmetic bundles, the first story DLC, Wild Card, will also be made available, which, according to the developer blog, Kay takes on a mission to "infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament." This is when she encounters a familiar Star Wars character, Lando Calrissian, and she eventually discovers that not all the chips are down, as "another game is being played."

Arriving in Spring 2025, the second story DLC, A Pirate's Fortune, is slated for release; throughout her exploits in the galaxy far, far away, Kay and her ship, the Trailblazer, have gained a reputation. As such, she meets veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who has a score to settle with a notoriously dangerous group of pirates, and Kay might be lending her assistance in this matter.

All this content can be accessed through the Season Pass, which is available when pre-ordering Star Wars Outlaws Gold or Ultimate Edition, or through the Ubisoft+ Premium subscription. The Season Pass will grant players three days of Early Access, which begins on 27th August 2024, with the game launching on 30th August 2024.
