Star Wars Outlaws has frequently been promoted to boasting an open-world setting that supports the many adventures players may embark on. The question of the game's replayability has come to mind, even though it features numerous optional missions on hand for them to accept and further their explorations of the Outer Rim.

Naturally, this focused on whether the game will have a New Game Plus (NG+) to determine whether it has play value long after the credits roll. This guide answers the question of whether Star Wars Outlaws will have an NG+ mode present in-game at launch or post-launch.

Star Wars Outlaws: Will There Be A New Game Plus Mode At Launch? Answered

As we fast approach the global release of Massive Entertainment's Star Wars Outlaws on 30th August 2024 (27th August 2024 for Early Access), eager players have been inquiring about a handful of possible game features that may be included at launch. One feature is the New Game Plus (NG+) mode, which is a recurring mode that has been included in multiple gaming releases over the years like Alan Wake 2, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is launching for PS4 and Xbox One this September.

Whether Star Wars Outlaws will follow suit with Jedi: Survivor in featuring an NG+ mode, Massive Entertainment's creative director Julian Gerighty answered this in an interview with YouTuber Azzatru, which begins at the 2:14 timestamp. When asked if an NG+ mode will be included at launch or "how post-game" will be handled, Gerighty confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will not have an NG+ mode featured but provided some supporting comments.

"There is no new game plus mode. I think it's an amazing idea, so it may be something we investigate post-launch." While Massive could be looking into possibly adding an NG+ mode sometime down the line, Gerighty stated that "it's gonna be on the list" for the team.

Ubisoft recently revealed the post-launch content roadmap for Star Wars Outlaws, which features all the content arriving at the game, including at launch. This sees two new story DLCs, Wild Card, releasing this Fall 2024, A Pirate's Adventure in Spring 2024, and new cosmetic packs coming soon to Star Wars Outlaws.

New Game Plus (NG+) is an unlockable feature prevalent across most gaming releases that allows players to restart, continue, or begin a new in-game adventure. Traditionally, this mode will enable players to carry their gameplay progress and various items and features from their current game save files, such as player stats, equipment and gear, weapons, currencies, and more.

There are a few cases in which NG+ increases the enemy difficulty, like the Dead Space Remake, unlocks new Achievements like the Horizon Forbidden West's "Completed New Game+," "Completed Ultra Hard," and "Obtained All New Game+ Rewards" and new item unlocks like Starfield's Starborn Guardian spaceship and Spacesuit Astra.

As Star Wars Outlaws will not have an NG+ mode present, players can replay this galactic action-adventure by creating a new save file and opting for one of the available difficulty presents. This was discussed in the Star Wars Outlaws Accessibility Spotlight interview, where developer Massive Entertainment outlined all the accessibility features, including two unique difficulty presets: one specifically increases the gameplay difficulty, and another focuses on individual difficulties for enemies, Kay Vess' health, and the wanted difficulty.
