Microsoft has just recently announced an exciting collaboration with the world-renown Oreo cookie company to bring gamers some awesome goodies. One of these is an exclusive Oreo-themed Ship skin to use when playing Sea of Thieves, and if you're looking to get your hands on it, then we have you covered.
Below we'll walk you through how to use the limited edition Oreo-themed skin in Sea of Thieves. And give you some important details that you need to know if you're looking to get it.
How to Get Xbox Oreo-Themed Ship Skin in Sea Of Thieves
The collaboration between Oreo and Microsoft will be rewarding players with a unique Oreo-themed ship skin in Sea of Thieves. To get this, players will need to purchase the limited edition pack of Oreos through their official website or by using #UnlockPlayfulness on their preferred social media platforms.
Inside the pack, you'll find a unique code that you can redeem in the game to get you that sweet new ship skin. The skin itself is black with some white highlights that mirror the design of the original cookie, and from our perspective, we think it looks pretty awesome.
One interesting this to note is that the Oreo cookies themselves have six new designs, with four of them sporting the A, B, X, and Y buttons, one with the Xbox logo, and a final one with a directional arrow imprinted on it. These designs are each unique and well thought out, so getting them will be a novel experience.
When and Where Can You Get the Oreo-Themed Ship Skin in Sea Of Thieves
Speaking of novelty, the cookies and subsequent skins won't be around forever, as Microsoft and the Oreo company state that they will only be available in 22 countries "while stocks last." They haven't given us an exact date on when the promotion will end, but we do know the cookies will go on sale from the 16th of January, according to the Oreo company's website.
The availability is also quite spotty as we know it will be available in 22 countries, but neither company has disclosed which 22 countries these will be. It appears that they will only be going on sale in European countries, as when visiting the website in a non-European country, redirects you to a page reading: "This country is not participating in the competition." This is the only sour note of this sweet deal, but we're certain ordering from stores across the pond will be possible.
To put the cherry (or the Oreo) on the cake, Oreo-themed skins will also be coming for both Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, so be sure to pick them up if you play either of those titles.
