Pirates will spend most of their time completing missions and quests, doping various PvP activities, attending World Events, and more. Eventually, they'll start taking on tasks from the major Trading Companies to raise their Reputation with them and acquire rewards.
Additionally, they can earn various titles for their in-game progression, which the Pirate Legend title earned by obtaining a specific leveling requirement. We've explained in this guide to help pirates learn how to get the Pirate Legend title in Sea of Thieves.
How To Get The Pirate Legend Title In Sea Of Thieves?
During their epic adventures across the Sea of Thieves, pirates can earn various accolades and rewards for their exceptional efforts and commitments to the Trading Companies and factions and for solving mysteries over time. Perhaps the most prestigious title pirates can earn and cement their legacy is by earning the Pirate Legend title in-game, which requires their valiant efforts and worthiness to be awarded it.
The Pirate Legend title is a Milestone that pirates can unlock by meeting particular prerequisites. Firstly, they must reach Level 50 with any three Trading Companies, which are as follows:
- Athena's Fortune
- Bilge Rats
- Gold Hoarders
- The Hunter's Call
- Merchant Alliance
- Order of Souls
- Reaper's Bones
- Sea Dogs
Most Trading Companies are found at the Outposts, except The Hunter's Call at Sea Ports, Reaper's Bones at The Reaper's Hideout, and the Sea Dogs at The Glorious Sea Dog Tavern. For new players, especially those jumping into the game on PlayStation 5 consoles, we recommend focusing on the original three Trading Companies, the Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance, and Order of Souls.
Reaching Level 50 with any three Trading Companies requires pirates to complete various tasks, like quests for their chosen three Trading Companies, which vary among themselves. In the case of the Gold Hoarders, for example, they can raid Fortresses and defeat the enemies inside to claim high-tier chests and rewards.
They can turn these chests in with the Gold Hoarders, rinse, and repeat until they reach Level 15. This allows them to acquire the Gold Hoarders Emissary Flag from their shop, which gives them a multiplier that increases their Gold and Reputation when looting and brings all chests and rewards to their Ship.
After reaching Level 40, they can complete other activities and events to eventually reach Level 50 and then focus on the remaining Trading Companies. This shouldn't be too difficult if pirates still possess chests and rewards claimed from Fortresses for the other companies and have increased their Reputation with them, allowing them to acquire an Emissary Flag.
With the Emissary Flag on their Ship, they can continue completing each company's related activities, such as bounty missions, Siren Treasuries, cargo runs, and trade routes. Don't forget that they can sell excess loot to the Sovereigns, who'll deliver them to the corresponding Trading Company based on which Emissary Flag is active and is found at every Outpost in-game.
Once they've reached Level 50 with the three Trading Companies, speak to the Mysterious Stranger at any Tavern, who'll award them the Pirate Legend title and a few other goodies. Pirates can also receive the Legendary cosmetic set and the Shanty of Legends, which allows them to access Athena's Fortune Hideout.
