The Sea of Thieves Season 5 "Buried Treasures" update boasts many exciting treasures and features, including the ability to bury treasures, set traps and enjoy fireworks! And what better way to enjoy fireworks than to park your pirate's stern inside the crow's nest and admire its beauty in first-person?
If that's not enough and you find your pirate in desperate need of rest, you can now also sleep in any bed in the game. Here's everything you need to know about sitting and sleeping at the start of Sea of Thieves Season 5!
How to sit in Sea of Thieves
So, if you're wondering, 'why on earth would I sit in the game?' you'll be happy to know that sitting provides a detailed first-person view of the Sea of Thieves world, which will give a greater degree of depth and immersion with the game.
You can sit on various objects in the game, including stools, chairs, and even cannons. You can also sit at certain points of interest, including clifftops and jetties scattered across the many islands in the game.
You'll know if you've found a location you can sit at because you will receive either of the following prompts, "Take a seat," or "Take a moment," or "Take in the view."
Once you receive this prompt, interact by holding down the respective key. You can also toggle your viewing angle once you're sitting down to either first-person or third-person mode.
How to sleep in Sea of Thieves
Sleeping functions similarly to sitting but can only be engaged by interacting with a bed. To do this, walk up to a bed and then hold down the indicated key in the on-screen prompt.
The screen will fade to black when your pirate falls asleep, and the game will muffle all sounds. However, after waking up, your pirate will have some (or all) of their health restored, depending upon the nap duration.
It's important to note that while asleep, you might be vulnerable to other pirates who will be able to hear you snoring. If a crew member refuses to wake up, you can throw water onto them.
