Rust CCTV Camera Codes List And How To Setup

Rust is a harsh survival game where you should defend yourself from the wild nature of this game and other players. In a game like this information is the key, so you should always be one step ahead of your opponents. You can do this in many different ways, and using CCTV cameras in the right way is one of them.

Use of these cameras might boost your wipe progress more than you think. You can monitor almost every monument in Rust while sitting on your base. This information from cameras becomes handy when your team decides you want to take on Oil Rig or go to any monument, because you can check out if there are other players already doing so or not.

Read on, we'll explain everything you need to know about CCTV cameras in Rust, from how to set them up in your base, to the codes you'll need to get them online.

Rust CCTV Camera Codes Explained

There are two different types of cameras in Rust. One of them is Encoded Identifiers and the other one is Player Created Identifiers. Encoded Identifiers are created by the developers and they are the CCTV cameras in the monuments.

Player Created Identifiers are the CCTV cameras that players have created. For example, you can set up a camera security system for your base and you should give these cameras unique codes for connecting them from Computer Station.

Just below is a list of CCTV Camera Codes to every monument in Rust:

How To Setup Your CCTV Camera System

To use monument CCTV codes you should have a Computer Station on your base. The Computer Station does not require electricity at the moment. You can add CCTV camera codes from the bottom left corner of the screen after you sit on the Computer Station. You can check these cameras any time you want after you add them.

How To Setup Security Camera For Your Base

Adding security cameras on your base might help you more than you think in Rust. You can set up security cameras outside of your base and check them out before you leave the base to protect yourself from door campers.

Even better you can extend your electricity and your TC much farther away from your base and set up new cameras there. In this way, you can have eyes on the neighborhood.

Rust_Door_Camper

There are three different camera types that you can set up on your base in Rust, these are:

  • The standard CCTV Camera
  • PTZ CCTV Camera
  • A Drone

You cannot zoom or move the standard CCTV Camera, but the PTZ CCTV Camera can be rotated 360 degrees and has the ability to zoom in pretty close. The drone on the other hand is not a complete camera system, but does act as a remote camera that you can control and maneuver around your neighborhood remotely.

Drones have ranges and the signal starts to weaken as you move away from the Computer Station, so be careful not to go too far. However, the range is extremely high and you can scan a large part of your neighborhood from the air.
